A Visual Diary – December 2021
For December’s visual diary, I wanted to take everything I’d learned from the previous two months and push myself a little further — technically, creatively, and mentally. This month was all about stepping into unfamiliar territory and beginning to understand the nuances that separate simple video documentation from truly cinematic storytelling. For the first time, I decided to shoot entirely in Log instead of Rec.709. It was intimidating, and I quickly realized just how much there is to learn about working with this kind of footage in post-production. Shooting in Log opened up an entirely new world of dynamic range and color possibilities, but it also challenged me to think…
A Visual Diary – November 2021
After completing my first visual diary in October, I decided to continue the series into November — this time with a focus on experimentation. I wanted to expand beyond simply documenting daily life and start playing with different technical and creative approaches to see how they could change the tone and emotion of my footage. Throughout the month, I experimented with shooting at different frame rates and resolutions, which allowed me to explore the possibilities of slow motion and cropping flexibility in post. These small adjustments opened up a new way of seeing motion — how something as simple as a hand movement, falling snow, or our dog running through…
A Visual Diary – October 2021
Recently, I embarked on a personal project to challenge myself and learn more about shooting and editing video. I filmed a visual diary consisting of a series of clips of my every day life throughout the month of October. The project was an exciting and challenging experience. I hadn’t shot and edited very much video prior to this project, so I knew that I would be facing a steep learning curve. However, I was determined to push myself out of my comfort zone and gain new skills. Throughout the month, I filmed a wide variety of footage, from simple daily activities like working and cleaning, to more complex scenes like…

Sanford Health’s cancer services are top-notch and they wanted to showcase their dedication to providing the best care for their patients. The main goal of the shoot was to capture the compassionate care and support that the organization provides to cancer patients. I worked closely with the Sanford Health team to create images that accurately portrayed the emotional…
Showcasing the Beauty of a Stunning Real Estate Property: A Commercial Photography Experience
As a commercial photographer, I am always looking for new and exciting opportunities to showcase my skills and create visually stunning images. Recently, I had the chance to do just that when I took on a real estate photography project for a friend of a friend. The home was absolutely stunning and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The layout and decor of this home were truly breathtaking. From the moment I walked in, I was in awe of the space and knew that I had my work cut out for me. The amount of natural light shining into this home gave the space such a cozy and inviting…

Real Estate Photography
One of my favorite types of photography to shoot is luxury real estate. This beautiful home had stunning modern accents throughout, a gorgeous open-concept layout and a full size basketball court in the backyard! Below are my favorite photos from the shoot.
